Barrett was born and raised in Brooklyn , New York and graduated from Stuvensant High School in Manhattan [1] .

Barrett played Dr. Lem Hewitt, one of the main characters, on the ABC TV show “ Come on, Ted .” He had a minor role in the Oscar-winning film "The Lord of the Storm ."

He played minor roles in the Law and Order franchise. In one of the episodes of the cult television series Clan Soprano , Barrett played the role of a squatter and drug dealer, and also visited the pilot episode " It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia ", the finale of "The Office " (one of the new employees of "Dunder Mifflin") and the episode " Detective Monk " (lottery fanatic). In the film " Larry Crowne " he had a small role of one of the classmates of the character Tom Hanks . In 2016, Barrett received a regular role in the television series " Beyond Time " [2] .
