Mika Mish

Mika Mish (Russian: Mickey Mouse) is a comic book magazine. Published in Belgrade : 1936-1941.

The first issue was released on March 21, 1936.

The owner and publisher of the magazine was one of the most famous pre-war publishers, the Russian emigrant Alexander Efimovich Ivkovich . The magazine initially had eight pages of 21 × 29 cm, the number of which subsequently increased to 12. It was printed in black and white, although there were periods when the cover and several pages were printed in color. Initially, the magazine was called "Decree Strip Mika Mish." In a later period, changed its name to "Mika Mish", the slogan "Funny sheet by strip" was added below.

In the beginning, “Mika Mish” was published once a week (Saturdays), and from the 24th issue it began to appear twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays. The publication was one of the best humorous magazines in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, primarily because he respected the desire of readers. The editors periodically measured the popularity of individual comics. Interestingly, readers preferred to read comics by local authors, since at certain times they appeared twice as often as foreign ones. Nevertheless, in general, the content was balanced.

The magazine gathered first-class Russian artists émigrés: Nikolai Navoev , Yuri Lobachev , Konstantin Kuznetsov , Sergey Solovyov , Ivan Shenshin , Alexander Rankner and other local authors. [one]

The last issue of "Mika Mish" was released on October 8, 1941 .
