Conjuring the Dead is the tenth full-length studio album of the Austrian metal band Belphegor , released by Nuclear Blast Records on August 5, 2014 and recorded under the direction of Eric Ruthen at Mana Recording Studios, in St. Petersburg , USA, from May 2012. years to April 2014. The album was designed by Septicflesh bassist Spyros “Seth” Antoniu . [2]

In July, the single "Gasmask Terror" was also released. A video was shot for the song "Conjuring the Dead". [3]

Conjuring the Dead received mixed reviews from music critics. About.com 's Dave Shaleck described the release as “[...] an extremely heavy album, [...] full of excellent songs and musical talent. Conjuring The Dead, in the best traditions of Belphegor, is replete with blast beats that are smoothly replaced by mid-tempo riffs that give the music an epic scale ” [4] . MetalSucks' Sammy O'Hagar noted that “Everything is perfectly balanced: the album sounds exciting and threatening. Conjuring the Dead is a snapshot of exemplary black death metal. The album organically combines both genres, alternately introducing them to the listener and then combining them in a single sound. All this is performed with grindcore ferocity ” [6] .
Anton Vilgotsky from Dark City put the album five out of five stars. He also recommended the album "to everyone who respects genuine extreme metal and real heavy music" [9] .
