Parliamentary elections in the Netherlands in 1937 were held on May 26. The Roman Catholic State Party retained a majority in the lower house of the General States , receiving 31 out of 100 parliamentary seats. 10 political parties received parliamentary representation following the election. Compared to the previous elections, 5 parties lost their representation in the lower house of parliament, and one (the National Socialist Movement ) received 4 deputy mandates, taking part in the elections for the first time [1] .

Regional Results
The results of the parliamentary elections were different in different provinces of the Netherlands. Thus, the Roman Catholic state party , which won nationwide, won the elections in 5 out of 11 regions, and in Drenta did not get even 5% of the vote. In Drenthe, Groningen , North and South Holland, the Social Democratic Labor Party outperformed the rivals, and in Friesland and Zealand the Anti - Revolutionary Party .
