Biography

Yumika Hayashi (at the birth of Yumika Oguri) was born in Tokyo on June 27, 1970. When she was in the fifth grade of the school, her parents divorced, and she was left to herself for the entire period of study in high school. Hayashi's mother owned a chain of restaurants selling ramen noodles.

Hayashi's movie debut took place at HMP's bishojo company when she starred in the films Miss Christina, Shigamitsuki and others. In the same year, she made her debut in "pink cinema" and took part in the release of the studio Xces Double Rape to Break in a Perverted Wild Filly in October 1990. She became one of the most popular actresses of the AV genre of the 90s. She also collaborated early in her career with V&R Planning, directed by Company Matsuo, who was also her lover.

Cult director Hisayasu Sato chose Hayashi to star in Real Action: Drink Up !, continuing to collaborate with her in several more films. According to him, she brought to the cinema in which she starred, especially in Molester's Train, a peculiar “strict tone”, which contrasted very much with the light and cheerful mood of her previous works. When she starred in Sato's Naked Blood as a woman devouring herself, critics commented on these scenes as "some of the most disgusting in Japanese horror in general."

Katsuyuki Hirano, another director of V&R Planning (who, by the way, was married) soon replaced Matsuo as Hayashi's lover. When they traveled together on bicycles in northern Japan, Hirano got the idea to shoot an AV version of their trip. Hayashi received a loan to create this film, and Hirano became her partner. In 1999, Hayashi appears as a dramatic actress, starring with Yoichiro Takahashi in Nichiyobi wa Owaranai, subsequently shown at the 53rd Cannes Festival called Sunday Dreams. According to critics, "a great surprise was how beautifully played Hayashi, a former porn star, carefree Sachiko."

As one of the best erotic actresses of her time and during her rich career, Hayashi gained a reputation as the “iron woman” of the Japanese erotic industry, and after her death was even mentioned in the Guinness Book of Records. Yumika died completely ridiculously. When she did not appear at work for two days, Hirano, her mother, and another company employee went to her house and found her lying motionless on the bed. As Hirano later said, they first thought that she was sleeping, and only making sure that the girl was not breathing, quickly called an ambulance. It was, however, already late, Yumika died, and her mother almost went crazy with grief. Various versions of the death of Hayashi have been put forward - from murder to suicide. Given the rather dirty background of the porn industry, any of them could be true. There was a version that shortly before his death, Hayashi broke off relations with an ex-boyfriend and this could also play a role.

Later, after an autopsy, the doctors determined the cause of death: Hayashi was choked with vomit, having had a lot of pains on her 35th birthday. She died in a dream.

Hayashi's latest film, Miss Peach: Peechy Sweetness Huge Breasts, was released in September 2005. After watching, the audience in cinemas applauded while standing, and this posthumous film by Hayashi was among the five best in its genre of 2005. Yoshiyuki Hayashida, founder of P * G magazine, and Pink Grand Prix co-authored a Hayashi biography titled Yumika Hayashi: Portrait of an Actress and a Woman, released in 2006.
