History

The city of Cheboksary was endowed with the status of a city district by the Law of the Chuvash Republic of November 24, 2004 N 37 “On the Establishment of the Borders of the Municipal Formations of the Chuvash Republic and the Empowerment of the Status of an Urban, Rural Settlement, Municipal District and Urban District”. ^[3]
