Elections to the Legislative Assembly of the Amur Region (2016)

The election of deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the Amur Region of the seventh convocation was held in the Amur Region on September 18, 2016 on a single voting day , simultaneously with the elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation . Compared to the previous time, the elections were held according to the mixed electoral system , which was canceled before the elections in 2008 : 18 deputies were elected by party lists ( proportional system ), the other 18 - by single-mandate constituencies ( majority system ). To get into the legislative assembly according to the proportional system, the parties had to overcome the 5% barrier . The term of office of deputies is five years.
