Biography
Dmitry Yurkov was born on May 5, 1972 in the city of Arkhangelsk. In 1995, he graduated from the Pomorie International Pedagogical University named after MV Lomonosov with a degree in physics, computer science and computer engineering.
In 1999, he graduated from the Pomorie State University named after MV Lomonosov, having received the qualification of a manager in the specialty “State and Municipal Management”.
From 1993 to 1998, simultaneously with his studies at the institute, he was engaged in entrepreneurial activities in the field of retail trade - the director of Konus LLP. From 1998 to 2004 he was elected General Director of OJSC Sevrechtorg. The following year he worked as the general director of OJSC "Mechanical Plant". The winner of the regional competition "Young Director of the Year."
From 2005 to 2008 he was elected Chairman of the Arkhangelsk City Council of Deputies, and is currently a deputy of the Arkhangelsk City Duma. Since 2008, Associate Professor of the Department of State, Municipal Administration and Management of the Northern (Arctic) Federal University named after MV Lomonosov.
Since 2005 - co-owner of NP "Panorama Retail" - a non-profit organization that coordinates the business, professional, scientific, technical and social activities of the participants (members) of the retail partnership in the Arkhangelsk region. NP "Panorama Retail" represents the Arkhangelsk region in the non-profit organization Union of Independent Networks of Russia.
Since 2008, he has been the author and host of the weekly historical program “Arkhangelsk Dmitry Yurkov”, the TV channel “Russia 1” (GTRK “Pomorie”). Initiator and author of the concept of a long-term target program for teaching chess in kindergartens and schools in the Arkhangelsk region. In the same year he published a monograph: Economics. Improving Local Governance Based on Information Technology: A View from Arkhangelsk. In 2010 he published a textbook: Information and Communication Technology Management. Since 2009 - member of the jury of the KVN regional league.
In the elections of September 18, 2016, Yurkov Dmitry Vasilyevich was elected the Deputy of the State Duma of the VII convocation from constituency 0072, Arkhangelsk - Arkhangelsk region.
