History
In 2003, KNTU was approved by the State Education Commission as a first-class higher education institution at the undergraduate level, in 2011 it became part of the fifty best higher education institutions recognized by the State Education Commission for the preparation of graduates for employment.
KhNTU has four training camps. Three of them are located in the eastern, western and southern parts of Harbin, another educational town is located in Shandong province. The total area of the university is 211 hectares. The main objects of the educational institution occupy an area of 88 hectares.
Library
The library stores 1.95 million books, 6.37 TB of electronic literature and visual materials, 140 thousand copies of periodicals in foreign and Chinese languages, there are 22 databases for ordering literature. In addition, there are 2 separate databases. At present, 2811 people work at the university, among them 1600 people are teachers in various specialties, 816 associate professors, one academician (“Chinese Academy of Engineering Sciences”), about 3200 students study at the full-time department, more than 100 foreign students.
