Biography
Born on May 27, 1915 in the town of Troitsk, Orenburg Province (now the Chelyabinsk Region). In 1930 she moved with her parents to Alma-Ata.
In 1936 she graduated from the full course of the Molotov Kazakh State Medical Institute in the specialty of the medical faculty. Received a referral to the hospital at the mine Achisai.
After completing full-time postgraduate studies, she worked as an assistant, associate professor of the Department of Obstetricians and Gynecology, Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the Kazakh Medical Institute (1958-1978), Chief Obstetrician-Gynecologist of the Ministry of Health of the Kazakh SSR.
Doctor of Medical Sciences (1954), Professor, Honored Doctor of the Kazakh SSR. Her doctoral thesis in 1954 was devoted to the topic of the relationship between the mother’s body and the fetus [1] at that time, this topic, along with the topic of obstetric tactics for various types of pathology of pregnancy, she continued to develop throughout her research activities. The staff of her department also worked on these topics [2] .
Awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor , medals.
Died October 11, 1993, acute heart failure.
Her husband is Kanysh Imantayevich Satpayev , a geologist (1949, civil marriage). Daughter - Jamilya Kanyshevna Utegenova, Candidate of Historical Sciences.
Memory
A memorial plaque was installed on the building of the 1st Maternity Hospital of Almaty in 1998. [3]
On September 26, 2016, the presentation of the e-book “Kamila Dosovna Utegenova. Giving life ”, organized by the Regional Public Organization“ Forum of Women of Eurasia ” [4] .
