Telmatobufo bullocki is a species of frogs from the genus of Chilean whistlers of the family Calyptocephalellidae [1] . Endemic to Chile ( South America ), where they live in the mountains in only a few places of the Cordillera de Nahuelbuta (part of the Coastal Cordillera ). It is extremely rare: during extensive field research in 1992-2002, only one adult was found. Inhabiting fast-flowing streams in the notofagus forests of the temperate zone. Tadpoles swim freely and feed on algae growing on pitfalls. Telmatobufo bullocki threatens siltation of streams caused by deforestation. The species is found in the Nahuelbuta National Park [2] .
