Kachugin Anatoly Trofimovich ( 1895 - 1971 ) - Soviet doctor , chemist , naturalist . Descendant of the aristocrats of the Golitsins. By education a doctor and biochemist. The author of many inventions in the field of engineering, chemistry and medicine. He was repressed in 30 years. During the Great Patriotic War he participated in the development of new types of weapons and systems of chemical defense. The creator of Molotov’s special anti-tank cocktail “KS” . [1] [2] .

After the war he returned to medicine. The author of several effective anti-TB drugs, including the drug " tubazide " is still considered one of the most effective in the treatment of tuberculosis. In the 1950s, he developed an original cancer treatment system that served as a prototype for several modern anti-cancer drugs. For the first time in the USSR, it began to use antitumor drugs that respond to neutron radiation (neutron capture therapy ) and drugs of the semicarbazide group. Many works by Kachugin have been introduced. However, many are lost. Currently, some of Kachugin’s medical developments have been developed in the United States.
He died in 1971.
He was buried at the Preobrazhensky Military Cemetery in Moscow .
