History
Date of establishment not established. Presumably founded in the 1930s. On the map of the Red Army 1941 in the place of the village designated state breeding station [2] . The village of State Electoral Station is listed in the List of settlements of the Stalingrad Region on April 01, 1945 [3] .
Physico-geographical characteristics
The village is located in a forest-steppe , within the Volga Upland , which is part of the East European Plain , at the top of the Lobachev ravine ( Ilovli river basin), at an altitude of about 150 meters above sea level. The general slope of the terrain from south to north [4] . Soils are chestnut solonetzic and solonchak soils [5] .
By road, the village is connected with the federal highway P228 and the regional highway Kamyshin - Ilovlya . By road, the distance to the district center of Kamyshin is 25 km, to the regional center of Volgograd - 180 km [6] .
- Climate
The climate is temperate continental (according to the Köppen - Dfa climate classification ). The long-term rainfall is 404 mm. Most precipitation falls in July - 49 mm, the least in March - 22 mm. The average annual temperature is positive and amounts to + 6.7 ° C, the average temperature of the coldest month of January is -9.7 ° C, the hottest month of July is +22.7 ° C [7] .
