Biography

From burghers. A native of the Astrakhan province. General education received at home.

In 1907 he graduated from Kazan Infantry Cadet School , from where he was released as a second lieutenant in the 205th infantry reserve Izmail regiment.

On July 17, 1910, he was transferred to the 56th Infantry Zhytomyr Regiment , and on October 18 of the same year, to the 13th Infantry Regiment . Produced as a lieutenant on December 14, 1910, as head captain on November 21, 1914. In World War I joined the ranks of the 13th Infantry Regiment. Awarded the Order of St. George 4th degree

 For commanding the company, on January 24, 1915, in a battle at a height of 706 in the area of ​​Lutovisk, he rushed into hostility on the enemy’s trenches, seized the acting machine gun and captured 2 officers and 150 lower ranks. 

Made in captains on April 26, 1916. In 1917 he successfully graduated from the 3-x monthly preparatory courses of the Nikolaev Military Academy . He was counted among the General Staff by the order of the General Staff of March 23, 1918, transferred to the General Staff by the order of the Universal Headquarters of June 27 of the same year. He was appointed assistant chief of the intelligence unit of the Northern sector .

In the Civil War participated in the White movement as part of the Armed Forces of the South of Russia . From July 22, 1919 - at the headquarters of the 2nd Army Corps , from October 8 of the same year - counted among the General Staff. Participated in the Bredovsky campaign .
