Biography
Born in a teacher’s family.
In 1914 he graduated from the Petrograd Art and Industry College of Baron Stieglitz with a degree in Photographer and Taxidermy . He served in the army, a participant in the First World War.
In 1923-1935 he worked in the Karelian State Museum of Local Lore in Petrozavodsk as the head of the natural department, carried out organizational and methodological guidance on the design of museum expositions. He made more than 350 stuffed animals, birds and fish for the local history museum.
In 1934-1948 he worked as a photojournalist for the republican newspaper Leninsky Znamen . During the years of the Soviet-Finnish War (1941-1944) - photo correspondent on the Karelian front .
In 1953-1957 he worked as the head of the circle of the Karelian station for young naturalists, participated in the Exhibitions of Achievements of the National Economy ( VDNH ), and was awarded the VDNH medals.
The photographic fund of G. A. Ankudinov is stored in the National Archives of the Republic of Karelia .
