Biography and Creativity
Vitaly Dubinin was born on October 9, 1958 in Moscow. He played in the school ensemble, first on drums, then on bass. In 1975 he entered the Moscow Energy Institute , where he met with Vladimir Kholstinin. Together with him in 1976 he became the founder of the institute rock group "Magic Twilight", in which he was a bassist and vocalist , as well as the author of some of the repertoire.
After the breakup of the group in February 1983, together with Holstinin, he entered the first (original) line-up of the Alpha group, recording the album Gulyaka. Having played several concerts, he left the group due to Sarychev's refusal to perform on the professional stage. In September 1983, she joined the Singing Hearts as a vocalist. Vitaly’s voice sounds at the 1984 minion of the band - “Traffic police conducts”. He left the ensemble in 1984 for the sake of studying at the Gnesinsky school , which he graduated in vocal class. Since 1985, he performed with a solo program, working in the North Ossetian Philharmonic. In 1987, he starred in the video for Chris Kelme 's song “ Closing the Circle ”.
After the collapse of the first composition of " Aria ", in 1987 he was invited by Kholstinin to the place of the departed Alik Granovsky , as a bass player. From the very beginning, he became a regular author of music, wrote a number of songs that have become widely known ("Calm", " Hero of the Asphalt ", "Street of Roses", " Splinter of Ice "). A significant part of the songs was written together with Vladimir Kholstinin (including the entire album “ Playing with Fire ”), and was also a co-author in all the songs written by Sergei Mavrin in Aria. In the early 90s, Dubinin and Holstinin founded the studio " ARIA Records ".
In the group, Dubinin’s skills as a vocalist were rarely in demand. However, Vitaliy is a constant backing vocalist of the group, and also soloists in the songs “ Torture of Silence ”, “ Blood of Kings ”, “ Battlefield ” and “ Phoenix ”. Also in 1997, together with Kholstinin, they recorded and released a joint side project - the album AvAria . It consisted mainly of “Aria” songs recorded in an acoustic arrangement and with Vitaly’s vocals, as well as two of his new songs “Horror and Fear” and “Such a Sorrow ...” that did not fit into the style of “Aria”. After 21 years, they were rearranged and released in October 2018 on the tribute album “ Salto Vitale ”, dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the musician.
After Doomsday and the collapse of Aria, he and Kholstinin formed a new band with vocalist Arthur Berkut , guitarist Sergei Popov and drummer Maxim Udalov , who in 1987 was already a member of the group (since 2011, the singer has been Zhitnyakov ).
