Distribution
Australasia : Papua New Guinea (Morobe and Eastern Highlands Provinces) [1] .
Description
Small water bugs of brown color, length about 5 mm (from 3.9 to 4.5 mm), rounded oval elongated body shape. Antennae 11-segmented; the second antenna meter is enlarged. The wings are well developed. Associated with water. The species was first described in 1998 by the German entomologist M. Balke ( Michael Balke ; Zoologische Staatssammlung München , Munich Germany ) under the original name Copelatus miriae Balke, 1998 [1] [2] .
