Mick Mikaeli ( Swede. Mic Michaeli , real name Gunnar Mathias Mikaeli , Swede. Gunnar Mathias Michaeli ; November 11, 1962, Upplands Wesby, Sweden ) - Swedish keyboard player , composer. Best known as the keyboard player of the Swedish rock band Europe . Like many other members of Europe, he grew up in the Stockholm suburb of Upplands Väsby.

Career
He joined the band to tour the Wings of Tomorrow in 1984, replacing lead singer Joey Tempest with keyboards.
Michaeli co-authored several songs by Europe; the most famous of them is the ballad “Carrie” from The Final Countdown, co-written by Tempest, and became the group’s most significant hit in the United States , reaching 3rd place on the Billboard Hot 100 chart .
After the band ceased operations in 1992, Michaeli recorded and toured with bands such as Brazen Abbot, Last Autumn's Dream and vocalist Glenn Hughes . He also co-authored three songs on Joey Tempest's third solo album, which was released in 2002.
Personal life
In 1989, Michaeli married Mia Hertler. They divorced in 2001 after 12 years of marriage.
Michaeli currently lives in Stockholm . He has three children: son Marcus, and daughters Moa and Matilda. He has no social media pages other than the group’s official pages listed on their website. [2]
