Geographical position

It is located on the right bank of the Miass river, about 22 km south-west of the Kargapole regional center. and 75 km (as the crow flies) northwest of the regional center of the city of Kurgan . 5 km (in a straight line) to the northeast is the village and the station Zharnikovo .

The soil is sandy, the climate is temperate.

Zharnikova, like the entire Kurgan Region , is located in the MSC + 2 time zone ( Yekaterinburg time ). The offset of the applied time relative to UTC is +5: 00 [2] .

History

Until 1799, the village of Zharenkova or Zharnikova was part of the Okunev parish, and in 1799 it was assigned to the parish of Baklanskago, from which it separated in 1873, forming an independent parish.

Before the revolution, the Zharnikovskoye village was part of the Baklansky volost of the Shadrinsk district of the Perm province .

In late June - early July 1918, the White Guard power was established. In early August 1919, Soviet power was restored.

In 1919, the Zharnikovsky Village Soviet was formed. June 14, 1954 abolished, entered the Dolgovsky village council .

During the years of Soviet power, residents worked on the Path to Communism collective farm, then on the Mir collective farm.

National composition
  • According to the 2002 census, 170 people lived, of which Russians - 92%.
  • According to the census of 1926, 1,268 people lived in the village of Zharnikovskoye, 1266 of whom were Russians , 2 were Ukrainians .

Social Business Zone

A tetrahedral obelisk was installed, on the edges of which there are plates with the names of fellow countrymen who died in the Great Patriotic War. It has a metal fence [4] .

Church

In 1866, construction began on the church, completed in 1872, and in the same year the church was consecrated in the name of the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos and the Holy Prince Alexander Nevsky . The original iconostasis of the temple, donated by the parishioners of Sukhrinsky parish of Shadrinskogo district, in 1899 was replaced by a new one. In the same year, inside the temple was decorated with wall icon painting [5] .

Now the temple does not exist.

Chapel

From the first half of the XVIII century there was a wooden chapel, built around the former case of cattle.

In 1835, a stone, enclosed with a wooden fence, a chapel in honor of the holy martyrs Flora and Laurus was built . Every year on August 18, a solemn procession from the local church to the chapel was held. A prayer service was served in the chapel, after which the sprinkling of St. water horses, in a variety of brought here not only from the parish, but also from neighboring villages.

Nowadays a chapel does not exist.
