Biography
Karel by nationality, father - volost police officer .
After graduating from the Petrozavodsk male teacher’s seminary in 1909, he worked as an elementary school teacher in zemstvo schools of the Olonets province. In 1911-1913 - a member of the Karelian Orthodox Brotherhood .
In 1916, drafted into the tsarist army, he studied at the Petrograd cadet school.
After the October Revolution, he returned to the Olonets province. In 1918 he was elected a delegate to the 1st Congress of Soviets of the Povenetsky district , chairman of the Council. In the years 1918-1919 - chairman of the Povenets district executive committee.
In 1919, during the Anglo-American intervention, he served as commissar of the partisan detachment.
In 1919, the food commissioner of the Olonets province was appointed, elected a member of the Olonets provincial executive committee. Since 1920 - Member of the Karelian Revolutionary Committee.
In 1921-1922 - Chairman of the Economic Council of the Karelian Labor Commune (KTK) (KAREKOSO), representative of the Government of the Karelian Labor Commune at the People's Commissariat of the RSFSR for Nationalities, was elected a member of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee . Member of the CECC (1921-1935).
In 1922-1926 - Chairman of the Board of Karelles, in 1926-1929 - Chairman of the State Planning Commission of the Autonomous Autonomous Karelian SSR .
Later he worked in responsible business positions in the Autonomous Karelian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. On the day of his arrest in February 1938, he worked as the head of the forest department in the forest administration of the People's Commissar of the Karelian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.
Convicted by the NKVD troika of the Karelian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic under Art. 58-7-10-11. Shot March 26, 1938 in the vicinity of Petrozavodsk [1] .
Rehabilitated by the Presidium of the Supreme Court of the Karelian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic on June 20, 1956.
