Aleksei Ivanovich Babakov (born 1924 , Makeevka village, Akmola region , Kyrgyz Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic , RSFSR , USSR ) is a miner, production leader, combine harvester operator at the mine number 1 of the Stalinugol trust of the Karagandaugol plant of the USSR Ministry of Coal Industry, Karaganda Region, Karaganda region, Kazakh SSR. Hero of Socialist Labor (1957).

Biography
Born in 1924 in a peasant family in the village of Makeevka. In the 30s, his parents moved to Karaganda to build local coal mines.
After graduating from a seven-year school, he entered a vocational school, where he received the specialty of an electrician. He worked at mine number 1 - Inclined.
Since 1942 he participated in the Great Patriotic War. After demobilization, he returned to Karaganda, where he began to work at mine No. 1 - Vertical. In 1951 he graduated from machinist courses, after which he continued to work at mine No. 1 - Vertical.
In 1957 he was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor for outstanding achievements in the coal industry.
In 1978, retired.
