Askar Serikov ( Kaz.Askar Serikov ; 1927 - 2007 ) - miner, production leader, engineer of the mining combine of mine No. 22 named after the 50th anniversary of the October Revolution of the Karagandaugol combine of the Ministry of Coal Industry of the USSR, Karaganda region, Kazakh SSR. From 1951 to 1960, he worked as a miner in a stope, working as a miner at mines number 20 and 22 (later - the Mine named after the 50th anniversary of the October Revolution ) in Karaganda. After finishing the courses of coal mine machinists, he worked from 1962 to 1982 as a machinist of a mining machine, a mining combine, and later as a mechanic of underground works, as an electrician at the mine named after the 50th anniversary of the October Revolution.
During the 8th Five-Year Plan (1966 - 1970), he mastered new mining machines, as a result of which labor productivity increased significantly. Achieved high rates in coal mining. In 1971 he was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor for outstanding achievements in the coal industry.
He was elected a deputy to the Supreme Soviet of the Kazakh SSR of the 7th and 8th convocations, a member of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Kazakh SSR.
He died in 2007.
