Yuriy Vladimirovich Ermakov (born September 3, 1970 in Makeevka ) is a Ukrainian athlete, sports gymnast. Honored Master of Sports of Ukraine (1997).

Biography
In 1995 he graduated from the Donetsk Institute of Health, Physical Education and Sports. He played for the team of CSKA (1987-1991) and the sports society of trade unions "Ukraine" (1991-1997). Trainers - G. Gurlyand, A. Shemyakin. Sportsman-instructor of the Moscow SKA (1987-1992) and the national team of Ukraine (1992-1997) [1] .
In 1987 he won the USSR Championship among youth, the next three years he became the winner and prize- winner of the USSR Supreme Championships . In 1988 he won the bronze medal of the European Youth Championship in France . Ermakov performed a triple twist in the group, it is the most difficult acrobatic element of floor exercises [2] . In 1991, he became the winner of the tenth Spartakiad of the peoples of the USSR. In 1993, he won bronze at the European Championships in Belgium , and the next year he repeated his achievement at the team world championships in Germany . The 1996 European Championships in Denmark became even more successful for him - second place.
At the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, together with R. Sharipov , A. Svetlichny , O. Kosyak , V. Shamenko , I. Korobchinsky and G. Misyutin won bronze medals. Ukraine skipped ahead of Russia and China and less than two tenths of a point ahead of Belarus.
Since 1997, Ermakov began coaching, along with his wife Olga became the first coach of the Olympic champion Oleg Vernyaev [3] . In 2000-2006 he was the director of the School for Sports Gymnastics; in 2007 became a senior trainer of the school of higher sports excellence in Donetsk.
