Muslim Margoshvili ( Muslim Abu Valid al-Shishani ) ( May 26, 1972 ) - Georgian-Chechen terrorist. For his atypical appearance for Islamic terrorists (blond hair, blue eyes and a red beard) he received the nickname "Viking".
The Margoshvili clan comes from the Pankisi Gorge in Georgia , which has long been inhabited by Chechen Kistins . He served in the USSR Air Defense Forces in Mongolia, but after the outbreak of the Chechen Wars he joined the Khattab detachment. There is information about Margoshvili’s participation in the battle near Galashki in 2002 [1] . On October 11, 2003, he was arrested by the Russian authorities in Ingushetia and spent 2 years in prison. A fake passport in the name of Madayev helped to avoid a harsher punishment.
Since 2008, Margoshvili again returned to terrorist activities already in the territory of Dagestan .
Since 2012, in Syria , where he led the detachment "Dzhunud al-Sham" ( Arabic. جنود الشام ; Syrian soldiers) of 250 fighters, where jihadists from the CIS countries and Germany fought [2] .
