Slopestyle requires good technical training of athletes and the accuracy of tricks, as a fall on the track can lead to loss of speed and the inability to perform the next trick. The figures on the track can be arranged in one, two or more rows and, passing the track on a particular site, the athlete has the opportunity to choose an obstacle.
Snowboard style is included in the program of the World Extreme Games ( English X-Games ).
The slope style in ski freestyle and snowboarding is included in the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics program.
