Youth level
At the age of 16, Jacob was invited to join the USA junior hockey team. This team plays not only at international competitions, but also holds a full season in the United States Hockey League, where it simultaneously looks at potential candidates for participation in the World Junior Championships. Jacob Tube spent two seasons on this team, where he managed to score in 53 matches, gaining 25 points.
In 2012, Jacob was selected for the NHL novice draft. However, the 2012/2013 season hockey player spent in the student league, speaking for the hockey team at the University of Michigan .
International Competitions
Since 2011, the Pipe is a regular player of US teams of different age groups. So, in January 2011, he played for the U-17 team at the Challenge Cup, where the Americans got to the final. And in April, for the U-18 team at the Junior World Championships, where the Americans had no equal.
In January 2012, Jacob was summoned to the US youth team (U-20) to participate in the world championship. In April of the same year, he helped the Americans defend their junior championship and won the second gold medal at such competitions.

NHL
In the 2013/14 season, Pipe made its debut in the NHL. Jacob managed to finish his first season at adult level with a positive utility indicator (+4), and also to become the team's third leading scorer among defenders (29 points).
June 18, 2019 was exchanged in the Rangers, in return, the Jets received defender Neil Pionk and the 20th pick of the NHL draft pick 2019 . [3]
