Geography
It is located on the left bank of the Gnilukha River (Tymanka), 7 km southwest of the village of Podlesnoye .
History
The Brockhausen colony (in parallel, was called Hummel) was founded in 1767 - 32 families from Dessau, Prussia, Hesse and Saxony. Calling colony Beauregard. Originally laid at r. Small Karaman , in 1770 moved to a more favorable place [2] . In 1914, in the wake of the struggle with German names, it was renamed Alexandrovskoye [3] . Until 1920, the Lutheran-Reformed village of Paninsky (after 1910 - Ryazanovsky) volosts of Nikolaev district of Samara province. Then, as part of the Paninsky canton of the Volga German Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. The administrative center of the Brockhausen Village Council (also included the village of Gelenteykh) [3] . During the famine in the Volga region in 1921, 291 people died in the village. In 1927, on the basis of the decree of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee "On changes in the administrative division of the Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic of NP and on the restoration of the traditional names of its German villages", the previous name was returned. In 1931, the Freichait collective farm was organized. Since 1935, as part of the Marxstadt canton .
On the basis of the Decree of the Presidium of the USSR Armed Forces of 08/28/1941 on the resettlement of Germans living in the Volga region, the German population of the village was deported . On the basis of the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR No. 620/35 of July 2, 1942 “On the renaming of some village councils and settlements of the Saratov region”, it was renamed Buerak [3] .
