It starts from the intersection with Braslas street , leads eastward and previously exited to Dzelzavas street . In the 1980s, a multi-story block was built at the end of Madonas Street, blocking its target; Currently, the street ends with a small intra-quarter passage facing Veyavas street . It has no intersections with other streets.

According to the general plan, before crossing the streets of Madonas and Braslas, Gustav Zemgal Gatwe should be extended [3] . These works are scheduled to begin in 2018 [4] [5] .

The traffic on Madonas street is two-way. In its middle part it is divided by a green zone into two separate carriageways. The road surface needs repair. Public transport does not run along the street.

The multi-storey residential buildings made of reinforced concrete with a height of 67 and 61 meters, built on Madonas Street, are among the 30 tallest buildings in Riga.
