Was the canoness of the monastery of St. Catherine, maintained a lively relationship with the main representatives of pietism . Being a friend of Goethe 's mother, von Klettenberg in 1769 , during the severe illness of young Goethe, looked after him and had a great influence on him, having come to read mystical and alchemical literature.
