White Sonneratia [2] ( lat. Sonneratia alba ) is a species of plants of the Derbennikovye family ( Lythraceae ) [3] .

Description
Evergreen shrub or, usually small, tree 3-15 m high [4] , sometimes up to 30 m, with a spreading loose crown. Pneumatophores densely growing from long horizontal roots usually have a height of 30 cm, sometimes grow up to 1 m. The leaves are oval, pale on the edges on the adaxial side. The length of the leaves is 5-11 cm, the width is 4-8 cm. The length of the petiole is 5-15 mm. Sepals on the adaxial side are reddish, 1.3–2 cm. The petals are linear, white, 1.3–2 cm long and 1 mm thick. Filaments of white color. The diameter of the fetus is 2–4.5 cm. The seeds are sickle-shaped [5] .

White sonneratia is widespread on the coasts of the Indian Ocean and some parts of the Pacific Ocean [6] .
Usage
Wood is widely used in construction and for the manufacture of carcasses for boats, as well as for fuel. Pneumatophores are used to make floats and plugs. Finds application in medicine. In India and Indonesia, a drink is prepared from the fruit [6] .
