Kolodozersky volost

Kolodozero volost is a volost in the Pudozh district of the Olonets province .

General information

The volost was formed in January 1870 in connection with the transfer of the volost government from the village of Pirzakovskaya to Kolodozersky churchyard and the renaming of the volost to Kolodozerskaya [1] .

The volost government was located in the village of Kolodozersky Pogost (Pogosskaya).

The volost included rural societies , including 22 villages: [2]

  • Oak society
  • Kolodozero society

In 1890, the population of the volost was 1225 people [3] .

In 1905, the population of the volost was 1344 people. In the volost there were 254 horses, 347 cows and 427 heads of other livestock.

During the reform of the administrative-territorial division of the USSR in 1927, the volost was abolished.

Currently, the territory of the Kolodozersky volost refers mainly to the Pudozh district of the Republic of Karelia .
