Mariamne, like her brother, believed in Christ. After the crucifixion and resurrection, she went to preach Christianity with the apostles Philip and Bartholomew . According to the Basil II Minology : in the city of Hierapolis, all three were seized by the anfipat for the sermon, after which they were tied and tormented: they were hung on a tree (probably upside down). The apostle Philip, before he died, prayed, and thanks to this, the earth failed, the anphipath and his wife fell into the resulting failure; both of them died. The people who were present at the same time, out of fear, released and released Bartholomew and Mariamne. Bartholomew went to preach the gospel in India. Mariamne preached the gospel in Lycaonia , where she died peacefully.
In Greek churches, Mariamne is called "Equal-to-the-Apostles", in Russian church books it is called "Righteous."
