Maubas Mukanov ( Kazakh. Maubas Mұқanov ; 1898 - 1968 ) - the senior shepherd of the Stalin collective farm in the Kounradsky district of the Karaganda region , the Kazakh SSR. Hero of Socialist Labor (1948).

Over the course of several post-war winters, the flocks kept their livestock without losses, and reached high rates for collecting astrakhan and wool.
In 1947 he received 400 lambs from 480 ewes. The average weight of one sheep was 42.2 kilograms, which exceeded the average for the collective farm. In 1948 he was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor “for obtaining high livestock productivity in 1947 when the collective farm compulsory deliveries of agricultural products and the livestock development plan” [1] .
He died in 1968.
