Alexey Kruglyak (December 9, 1975 - May 16, 2017) - Ukrainian fencer, participant of the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney .

Biography
Kruglyak took part in the European Fencing Championship 1998 in Plovdiv , where in the quarter finals he lost to Hungarian Marc Marci 15: 3 [1] . In the same year Kruglyak was injured. In Kiev, during training, the opponent's blade passed under his arm [2] . However, the athlete recovered and took part in the Olympics.
Neither Games in Sydney Kruglyak played in individual and team tournament in rapiers. In the first round of the individual championship, he won with a score of 15: 9 compatriot Alexei Bryzgalov , but in the next round he lost to the German Ralph Bissdorf . In the team championship, Ukraine ranked fifth [3] .
Alexey Kruglyak died on May 16, 2017, the funeral took place the next day at the Baikovo cemetery [4] .
