Veronica Egebakken Kristiansen ( Norwegian Veronica Egebakken Kristiansen , born July 10, 1990 in Stavanger ) is a Norwegian handball player, left welterweight of the Danish team Midtjyuland and the Norwegian team, world champion 2015 and European champion in 2014, bronze medalist of the 2014 Summer Olympics.

Biography

Club career

Veronica Kristiansen spoke at the beginning of her career for the Norwegian Myeongdalen and the Danish Raistad. Her next club in her career was Vogue Vipers from Kristiansand, for which she made her debut in the 2009/2010 season in the Norwegian Postenlig [1] . In 2011, she joined the Second Norwegian Glassverket team [2] , during the performance she scored 203 goals and brought the club to Postenliga [3] . In the 2013/2014 season, she took 2nd place in the ranking of scorers with 140 goals [4] . In the summer of 2015, Kristiansen left for the Danish Midtjuland from the First League, with whom she won the Danish Cup in the same year [5] .

Team

Veronika Kristiansen held 14 games for the Norwegian national team under 18, 30 games for the Norwegian national team under 20 [6] and won the 2010 World Championship among teams under 20 [7] . March 20, 2013 Veronica played the first match for the Norwegian national team against Denmark . She played with the team at the 2013 World Cup (six goals in seven matches), but Norway lost there in the quarter-finals [8] . In 2014, Veronica won the European Championship 2014 [9] , in 2015 the World Cup, and in 2016 she became the bronze medalist of the Olympic Games.

Personal life

Veronica has sisters Charlotte and Jeanette, father Benning Christiansen, who also compete in the Norwegian handball championship. [2]
