History
The club was founded in 1934 by a group of Lebanese enthusiasts. In 1945, the Lebanese Ministry of the Interior allowed Riyadi from Beirut to participate in various sports on behalf of the Rauchi region. In that year, the club participated in basketball , handball , volleyball , tennis and table tennis competitions.
In 1947, the club moved from the Rauchi district to Sanayeh. The new stadium of the club is solemnly opened by the President of Lebanon, Bishar al-Khoury, and the country's prime ministers Riad al-Solh and Saib Salam . The club holds its first match at the new stadium against the Turkish Galatasaray . In 1954, the club moved back to the Rauchi district.
In 1965, the club created a women's basketball team to compete with other clubs that already had women's teams.
In 1991, with the support of club president Hisham Jarudi and then-prime minister Tamam Salam , the construction of an indoor stadium called the Saib Salam Arena was completed.
In recent years, club fans have been accused of using racial and sectarian slogans. The club is run by a politically biased person. The club’s president, Hisham Jarudi, during the 2016 Municipal Elections , dedicates the stadium of the Beirut List political campaign club, thereby supporting Hariri ’s Movement for the Future political party.
