Kaliev, Nurgazy

Nurgazy Kaliev ( Kazakh. Nurkazy Kaliyev ; 1900 , aul Mashteksay - 1962 ) - the senior shepherd of the Voroshilov collective farm of the Dzhangalinsky district of the West Kazakhstan region, Kazakh SSR. Hero of Socialist Labor (1948).

From 1929 to 1959 he worked as a shepherd, the senior shepherd on the Voroshilov collective farm of the Dzhangalinsky district (later - the Mashteksay collective farm). Over the course of several post-war winters, the flock kept its livestock without losses, and reached high rates for the collection of astrakhan and wool.

In 1948 he was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor “for obtaining high livestock productivity in 1947 when the collective farm compulsory deliveries of agricultural products and the livestock development plan” ^[1] .

He died in 1962.
