Spring Split SLTV League of Legends StarSeries 2015

Spring Split SLTV League of Legends StarSeries 2015 is the fifth season of the eSports League among professional teams from the CIS countries in the League of Legends game, organized by the Star Ladder platform with the support of Riot Games . The winner of the competition represents the CIS at the IWCI 2015 tournament. The first season of the Star series is conducted according to the system of two splits: spring and summer.

The regular championship was held from February 14 to March 22, 2015 . March 28 and 29 play-off matches took place. The final stage of the split, which took place in the Minsk concert hall of the Prime Hall , started on April 10 and ended on April 12, 2015 with a match for a place in IWCI 2015 [1] .

The champion title failed to defend RoX.KIS [2] , losing the playoffs 3-0 to the Hard Random team, which eventually won the tournament, while receiving a ticket to the wildcard tournament and 1 million rubles out of prize fund [3] .

Content

Format

The following changes occurred in the format of all Star Ladder divisions in League of Legends [4] [5] :

Starseries

  • Two split: spring and summer. The winner of the spring qualifies for IWCI , summer - for IWCT .
  • The number of teams participating in the group stage was reduced from 12 to eight;
  • Like last season, the two best teams of the group stage go to the LAN finals;
  • Teams who finished 3rd to 6th in the regular season play the playoffs for the two remaining trips to the LAN-finals;
  • 7-8 place is played by the play-offs for saving the place for the next season against teams from ProSeries

Proseries

  • 16 teams
  • Split is divided into two mini-split:
    • after the first and second eight worst teams fly to AmSeries
    • after the second, the two best teams of the professional division play butt matches against the two worst teams in the star division

AmSeries

  • Unlimited members
  • Split is divided into two mini-split:
    • after the first eight top teams go to proseries
    • after the second there is a final with a prize pool of $ 100,000.
