Helen Tanger ( Dutch: Helen Tanger , born August 22, 1978) is a Dutch athlete, a rower, a medalist in the rowing championship and world cup, as well as the 2008 Summer Olympic Games 2012.

Biography
Helen Tanger was born on August 22, 1978 in Amsterdam , the province of North Holland . She began her professional career as a rider since 1997. Trained as part of the Okeanos RSVU Club, Amsterdam. A graduate of the University of Syracuse, New York, who graduated in 2001 [1] .
The first competition in the international arena in which Tanger participated was the III stage of the 2000 rowing world cup in Lucerne, Switzerland (2000 WORLD ROWING CUP III). In the finals of the fours, the Dutch team won with a result of 07: 02.330 a silver medal, overcoming the distance going in second place from the start to the finish. The third place was taken by the team from Australia (07: 03.510), and the first by the German rowers (06: 58.390) [2] .
The next medal in the Tanger asset was obtained during a performance at the III stage of the 2003 rowing world cup in Lucerne. In the fours swim, her team was able to bring the Netherlands team a silver medal. With a result of 06: 33.990, Dutch rowers took second place, losing to the rivals from Australia (06: 30.740 - 1st place), but ahead of the German team (06: 34.060 - 3rd place) [3] .
At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing , Tanger set off as part of the Dutch eights team. With the result 06: 07.220, they finished second and won silver medals, and the championship was given to rivals from the USA (06: 05.340) [4] .
In 2012, during the Summer Olympic Games in London, the Dutch eight, which was Tanger, took third place with a score of 6: 13.12, losing to the teams from Canada (6: 12.06 - 2nd place) and the USA (6: 10.59 - 1 place) [5] .
