Rubene ( Latvian: Rubene ) is a settlement in the Koceni region of Latvia . It is part of the Kocene volost . Located on highway A3 (E264) . According to data for 2015, 414 people lived in the village [1] . There is a school, a kindergarten, a post office.

History
In Soviet times, the settlement was part of the Kotsen village council of Valmiera district . In the village was the collective farm "Kopsolis" [2] .
