Chuga is a river in the Kholmogorsky district of the Arkhangelsk region of Russia .

It originates from the lake Mezhnoye near the station of the Northern Railway Deep-New . The river flows mainly to the north. It falls into Pinega on the left bank 45 km from its mouth (1 km below the mouth of the Chuplega River ). The length is 34 km [2] . Food mixed, with a predominance of snow. The largest tributaries are the Pozmer , Tociha, and Stochnoy.
The Chugsky State Landscape Reserve is located in the river basin. In the lower reaches on the river bank there is the village of Chuga of the Belogorsk rural settlement .
