Biography
Under Gerot III, feuds began with the archbishops of Osh for power in the region, which his son, Bernard IV, continued by armed means.
OK. In 1119, he married Adalmur (or Anisella or Azelma), († 1140 or 1160), daughter and heiress of Astanov II, Count de Fezansac, who died in the Crusade , and widow of Bernard III, Count de Bigore.
The death of Countess Beatrice, daughter of Countess Adalmur de Fezansac from her first marriage approx. 1140, made her son Gero III the only legal heir to the county of Fezansac, which once formed a whole with Armagnac. And from then on, both counties were no longer divided
From the marriage of Gerot III with the Countess Adalmur were born:
- Bernard IV (d. 1193), Count d'Armagnac and de Fezansac.
- Mascarosa, from 1150 the wife of Odon I de Loman, Senor de Timarcon. Presumably, they became the founders of the second house of the Counts d'Armagnac.
Many researchers, including Father Anselm , believed that after 1140, having lost his wife, Gero III married a second time to Anisella, the daughter of Odon, Viscount de Loman. Their son Odon became not only the ancestor of the new house of the Viscounts de Loman, but also the second house of the Counts d'Armagnac
