Sports career
A pupil of Kirov hockey, a master of sports of international class, played as a goalkeeper.
He represented the clubs Rodina (Kirov, 1986-1987, 1989-1990), Severnaya Dvina (1990-1991) and Vodnik (1991-2005).
As part of the Arkhangelsk club, he became the champion of Russia nine times (1996–2000, 2002–2005), five times - the winner of the Russian Cup (1992, 1994–1996, 2000, 2005), three times - the winner of the European Champions Cup (2002-2004), twice became the owner of the World Cup (2003, 2004) and once the owner of the Edsbyun Championship Cup (2004).
The second national team includes a bronze medalist at an international tournament for the prizes of the Government of Russia (1996). Bronze medalist of the World Junior Championship (1988), at which he was recognized as the best goalkeeper.
He completed his sports career as a result of a serious injury sustained in 2005.
