Aurimas Lankas ( lit. Aurimas Lankas ; September 7, 1985 , Šiauliai ) - Lithuanian kayaker , has been playing for the Lithuanian national team since 2014. Bronze medalist of the Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, twice bronze medalist of the European Championships, multiple winner and medalist of regattas of national importance.

Biography
Aurimas Lancas was born on September 7, 1985 in the city of Siauliai, Lithuanian SSR .
The first serious success at the adult international level was achieved in the 2014 season, when he joined the main squad of the Lithuanian national team and attended the European Championship in Brandenburg, Germany, where he brought the bronze dignity prize won in the offset of double kayaks at a distance of 200 meters along with team-mate Edwinas Ramanauskas - in the final they were ahead of only crews from Germany and Russia. At the World Championships in Moscow, he was close to prize-winning positions and finished fifth in the finals.
A year later, he performed at the European Championship in Czech Rachitsa and with the same Ramanauskas again became a bronze medalist in doubles at two hundred meters. Also this season, in his crown discipline, he participated in the first European Games in Baku , but reached here only to the semi-finals, where he finished seventh.
Thanks to a series of successful performances, Lancas won the right to defend the country's honor at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro . He started with Edwinas Ramanauskas in the double-kayak program at a two-hundred-meter distance - they qualified from the first place at the preliminary stage and thereby immediately made it to the main final “A”. In the decisive final race, they showed the third result at the finish line, skipping ahead teams from Spain and the UK, and won bronze Olympic medals. In the history of Lithuanian sports, this is the second prize in kayaking and canoeing at the Olympic Games, and the first was earned at the 2012 Olympics in London by canoeist Eugene Shuklin [1] [2] .
