Tammy Eloise Jackson ( born Tammy Eloise Jackson ; born December 3, 1962 ) - American professional basketball player, speaking in the women's national basketball association for the Houston Comets and Washington Mystic teams. She studied at the University of Florida . She played at the center position. He is the bronze medalist of the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona .

Early years
Jackson grew up in Gainesville ( Florida ) [1] . She studied there in high school Buchholz, in which she played for the basketball team "Buchholz Bobcats" [1] .
University Team Performances
After graduating from high school, Tammy began her studies at the University of Florida in Gainesville, where she played in the Florida Giants team from 1981 to 1985 [2] . During the four years of performances in the composition of this team, she scored 1,895 points, having realized almost 56% of the shots from the game, making 1,141 rebounds and making 121 block shots [2] . She was the captain of her team in the senior class, and also joined the first team of all the stars of the Southeast Conference for three years in a row [2] . He is the third most effective scorer "Gaytors" for the entire time of its existence [2] .
In 1995, Tammy Jackson was included in the Sports Hall of Fame at the University of Florida as the “Great Crocodile” [3] [4] . She graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor's degree in human health and performance in 2007.
Professional career
After finishing the student team performances, she played in various international leagues due to the lack of women's professional basketball leagues in the United States. Tammy was a US national team player who won the 1990 World Cup in Malaysia and the bronze medal at the 1992 Barcelona Summer Olympics [5] .
Jackson started playing for VNBA in 1997: the Houston Comets team chose her in the second round of the VNBA draft pick with a total of 16 numbers. Became one of the most original players in the league. She left the sport at the age of 39 in 2002, at the same time was the most senior player in the women's NBA.
