He was born in January 1907 at the Susatsky farm (currently - the Razdarsky district of the Rostov region ).

He graduated from the Novocherkassk Mechanical College with a degree in heat engineering (1922) and the Moscow Mechanical Institute. M.V. Lomonosov , majoring in mechanical engineering (1930).

• 1929-1930 heating engineer at the Zlatoust Metallurgical Plant
• 1930-1935 Head Department of Technology of Metals and Metallurgy at the Institute of Mechanical Engineers of Socialist Agriculture
• 1934-1946 he worked at the Ordzhenikidzegrad Engineering Institute (now Bryansk State Technical University): assistant professor of metal science , since 1935 the head. laboratory, since 1936 Department of Technology of Metals and Metallurgy, Deputy Director for Scientific and Educational Work (1939), Director of the Institute (1941-1944), Head of the Departments of Metallurgy (1940-1943) and Metallurgy and Heat Treatment (1943-1946). He supervised the evacuation of the institute in Nizhny Tagil (1941) and its restoration.

Subsequently - head. Department of Physical Metallurgy MVTU , simultaneously since 1963 the head. Department of Engineering Technology for the hot processing of technical college metals at the ZIL plant.

Associate Professor (1934), candidate (1937), doctor (1941) of technical sciences, professor (1941).

Author of a textbook for universities "Theory of welding processes."
