Biography

Dejan Terzic was born on April 21, 1987 in the city of Bečei in the Autonomous Region of Vojvodina , Yugoslavia .

The first serious success at the adult international level was achieved in the 2012 season, when he joined the main squad of the Serbian national team and visited the European Championship in Croatian Zagreb, where he brought the bronze dignity award won in the classification of four-seater kayaks at a distance of 1000 meters. Thanks to a series of successful performances, he was awarded the right to defend the country's honor at the London Summer Olympics . He started here in the four-kilometer kayaking discipline together with rowers such as Milenko Zorich , Aleksandar Aleksich and Erwin Holpert - from fifth place qualified at the preliminary stage and then at the stage of semi-finals he finished seventh, settling down in the final protocol of the competitions on the ninth line.

After the London Olympics, Terzic remained in the main composition of the rowing team of Serbia and continued to take part in major international regattas. So, in 2013, he performed at the Mediterranean Games in Turkish Mersin, where, together with Erwin Holpert, became the silver medalist in the program of double kayaks a thousand meters away - only the Italian crew Nicola Ripamonti and Albino Battelli beat them at the finish line.

Being among the leaders of the Serbian national team, in 2015 Dejan Terzic went to represent the country at the first European Games in Baku - as part of a four-seater crew, which also included rowers Simo Boltich , Vladimir Torubarov and Erwin Holpert, took fourth place in the starting qualification race, was the second in the semifinals, and in the decisive race he showed the sixth time, not reaching the prize positions a little [1] .
