Biography
Alexander Balykov was born on March 5 , 1985 in Chelyabinsk .
Parents: Tamara Ivanovna - teacher of mathematics , Vladimir Nikolaevich - engineer .
In 1989, the Balykov family moved to the city of Barnaul .
In 1990 , then Alexander was 5 years old, he began studying music at the Regional Children's Music School at the Altai State School of Music. A year later , he went to the first class of a comprehensive school , where Alexander began to engage in speed skating . He had to combine school, music and sports. He trained a lot and showed good results: as part of the Altai Territory speed skating team, Alexander won many awards at regional and national competitions .
Balykov tried to quit his music classes, but his parents saved him from this act. In June 1999, Alexander successfully graduated from a music school .
In high school, he was injured and was forced to retire. It was at this time that he composed his first songs .
In 2001, Balykov entered the Altai State Technical University . During training in the second year, Alexander becomes an artist of the song ensemble at the Central Internal Affairs Directorate of the Altai Territory , where he sings for two years. At that time, Mikhail Gertsovich was his creative mentor [1] . In 2004, Alexander received the title of Grand Prix in the nomination "Pop Song". In 2006, participates in the All-Russian contest of pop artists.
In 2007, Alexander defends an engineering degree at Altai State Technical University and enters the Institute of Contemporary Art in Moscow [2] .
1.1. Musical Work
In March 2008, Alexander was approved for the role of Romeo in the rock opera LOVE. In July 2009, he receives the role of Pontius Pilate in the opera- fantasy of Valentin Ovsyannikov “The Master and Margarita ”, and a year later plays the role of Woland . On September 10, 2010, the artist premiered at the Broadway Stars in Cabaret Montmartre: this is the third project with his participation. Since October 2012, Alexander has been playing the role of King Triton in the Russian version of the Broadway musical The Little Mermaid.
1.2. Participation in the show "Rassian tenors"
In the summer of 2009, Alexander Balykov took part in the casting for the television show “Rassian tenors” ( Los Angeles ). Of the five thousand candidates, the management of the STS television channel selected 15 people. The participants went to Hollywood . There, Alexander took over the experience of Hollywood actors and directors . The whole country has witnessed his victory in this project.
1.3. Participation in the show "Factor A"
In 2012, Alexander took part in the second season of the Factor A music show, chaired by Alla Pugacheva . After three months of work under the guidance of mentor Roman Emelyanov, he becomes the finalist of the project.
1.4. Participation in the show "Main Stage"
At the beginning of 2015, Balykov takes part in the new music show “ Main Stage ” on the channel of Russia-1 [3] . Thanks to the fruitful cooperation with the team mentor Konstantin Meladze , Alexander opens himself to the audience from a new perspective.
1.5. Vocal project "ViVA"
After the end of the Rassian tenors project, the finalists continued their communication . Many years of friendship and creative cooperation led to the creation of the ViVA Vocal Project [4] . In September 2015, the ViVA group announced itself, becoming a participant in the second season of the main stage television show.
Discography
In October 2015, Alexander released his first solo album “Fly”. Work on it went on for three years. The album expresses the inner world of the artist.
