Lubomierz ( Polish: Lubomierz , German: Liebenthal ) is a city in Poland , part of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship , Lviv County . Center of urban-rural gmina . It covers an area of 8.06 km². The population is 1812 people (as of 2004 ).

History
- The first mention of the town of Lubomierz dates back to the 12th century . Once it was owned by the princes of Lubomir .
- The status of the city was recognized in 1291 by Prince Boleslav I the Stern from the Silesian branch of the Piast dynasty .
- In 1480, the famous Krakow printer Jerome Vetor, typographer of the royal office of Sigismund I the Old, was born in Lubomierz.
- In 1945-1947 the name of the city was Milosna ( Polish Miłosna ).
Culture
In 1967, the open airs of the film “ All Your Own ” ( Polish Sami swoi ) were filmed here and, in the thirtieth anniversary of this incident, in 1997 established the annual “Comedy Film Festival in Lubomierz”. Here is the museum of the heroes of this film.
