History
The city originated from the village that was built by Prince Henry I the Bearded . City status - from 1292 , by order of Prince Boleslav II the Bald (Slingshot) . During the war of the sixth coalition in 1813, Emperor Alexander I was a guest here in the castle. In 1869 a railway station was built. In 1883, electric lighting was carried out in the city.
